Rise Against Hunger
Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable. On February 17th from 9am-12pm, all ages and abilities are invited to join in a meal packing event in the parish hall to help package meals to help end hunger!
Habitat for Humanity
Four Wrightsville Beach churches joined together last spring/summer to sponsor a Habitat build. St. Andrew’s volunteers joined others from St. Therese Catholic Church, Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian Church, and Wrightsville United Methodist Church in work days every Saturday. We look forward to future outreach events with our Wrightsville Beach neighbors.
Episcopal Farmworkers’ Ministry
St. Andrew’s supports the young people who worship at La Sagrada Familia, the congregation which gathers at the Episcopal Farmworkers’ Ministry in Newton Grove. Each year we send 100 backpacks full of school supplies to the children before they begin the school year and Easter baskets to help them celebrate the joy of the Easter season.
Members of St. Andrew’s are involved with ministries all over Wilmington and would be happy to help you get involved as well. Some of the places we support include:
- The Bargain Box
- Good Shepherd Center
- Habitat for Humanity Seaman’s Center
- Lower Cape Fear Hospice—Meals
- Interfaith Refugee Ministry
- Salvation Army
- Help Hub
- A Safe Place
